The Cabot Police Department is making Christmas special this year with its annual Christmas shopping trip. The game focused on providing Christmas gifts to children in need with the help of a $5,000 grant from Cabot Police and $2,500 in donations from local businesses.

Brent Lucas of Cabot Police said the program is similar to the popular "Shop with a Cop" program that is available nationwide. The children, ages 1 to 4, were selected by county school counselors for the program and went shopping with police at the Walmart Supercenter in Cabot, the report said. We usually have a size list that we can give ourselves so we can help the kids shop, "he said. They have shops across the city in a variety of shopping centres and said they have lists of what sizes they could give.
